Junior Performers

 (4-8 Years)

Sing, Dance, Act, Pretend and Play ...Where will our adventures take us today?

This is the youngest age group of our main weekend stage school. Classes run each Saturday during term time, and consist of two and a half hours tuition. During this class youngsters can stretch their imaginations, gain self-esteem and confidence whilst learning how to express themselves creatively and effectively through performing arts. The skills that pupils start to develop during this class will last them a lifetime. Different areas of our prospectus will be explored throughout the terms and the Juniors have the chance to work on their own projects as well as joining the intermediate class for Enact Academys Annual Productions. All classes are run by professionals currently working within the industry, all of whom bring a wealth of teaching experience and are DBS checked.

This class will allow children to develop at their own speed.

The Enact Academy ethos encourages all areas of arts interest, enabling children to grow into individuals.

For the Enact Junior Performers class, Performing Arts is best thought of as informal endeavours that extend the natural habits of play and learning.  Enact Junior Performers further develops a child’s understanding. With guided classes children learn the basics of structuring their “pretending” for presentation to an audience. More advanced skills—acting, directing, scene and costume design, playwriting, and stage management – are also introduced as important tools to building a young performer. In addition to creating theatre in its many forms, children benefit from seeing it and experiencing it at a higher skill base. The Enact Junior Performers are often merged with The Enact Intermediate Performers class, providing each group the opportunity to make new friends and learn from each other.
